Our GAP family is so generous with your Foster Care tax credits from September through April. So much is accomplished each year for children, families, and our community through these gifts.
But we could really use your help in June, July and August!
People leave town for cooler places – the mountains, ocean, and summer homes. Others are busy with kids being out of school, vacation, summer camp, and family fun. Unlike the holiday season, year-end, or April tax season, giving just isn’t on most people’s radar.
- At-risk children still need to be fed (we actually feed more kids in the summer through camps and daycares).
- Men and women striving for a better future are coming to Career+ to learn a viable trade and the basic life skills to help them succeed.
- Families are coming to the Community Warehouse in larger numbers than ever for food and products they can receive at no cost to take some of the stress off of their grocery bills.
- Children are enjoying time with their moms and dads at the Family Center and families are being reunited. Kids still come into our care due to neglect and even abuse.
