Recently, the GAP Ministries and Miracle Center Career Plus team had the opportunity to connect with job seekers at the Second Chance Job Fair. The fair was hosted by Second Chance Tucson at the Tucson Convention Center.
The event brought together individuals looking for employment opportunities as they reenter the workforce, explore new career paths, and take meaningful steps toward their futures.
Our team was honored to represent GAP Ministries and Miracle Center while sharing information about the Career Plus Program in Tucson. It was a chance to connect with individuals who could benefit from the program’s support, resources, and employment opportunities.
What Is the Career Plus Program?
The Career Plus Program helps individuals who have experienced difficult life circumstances take steps toward employment and greater stability.
Career Plus provides opportunities for participants to develop practical skills and prepare for the workforce. We do this through hands-on training, workplace experience, and support.
We recognize that everyone’s journey is different. For some, the next step is gaining new skills. For others, it is building confidence, developing a work history, or discovering a new career direction.
The goal is to help individuals move forward.
Creating Opportunities Through Workforce Development
Events like the Second Chance Job Fair are very valuable. They create opportunities for job seekers to connect directly with organizations and employers while learning about resources available in their community.
For our Career Plus team, it was an opportunity to listen, encourage, and share how the program can help individuals pursue their employment goals.
We believe workforce development is about more than finding a job. Meaningful employment can provide an opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, experience greater stability, and work toward a brighter future.
